During my time at The Theatre Centre, I had the pleasure of organizing the company’s first-ever Doors Open Toronto event as part of The Theatre Centre's 10 for 10 programming. Over the course of two days, The Theatre Centre hosted a pop-up café, public tours of the venue as well as a mini exhibition held in the gallery space, with marketing materials sourced from The Theatre Centre’s archives.
I researched and designed the venue tour and collaborated with staff to ensure visitors learned about the history of The Theatre Centre since its inception in 1979, the building’s history dating back to its Carnegie library origins in 1909, with the merging of these histories when The Theatre Centre became stewards of the 1115 Queen Street West building in 2014.THE THEATRE CENTRE
